Free festive ice skating is coming to Alfreton – here’s how it works!

We’re delighted to share more details about the pop-up synthetic ice rink coming to Seven Square this Christmas, including how to get your free skate.

About the skate

Severn Square, Alfreton

Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 December

11am – 5pm

How to get your free ticket

To take part, you’ll need to complete a fun trail around Alfreton:

Pick up your clue card from Alfreton Indoor Market on 22 or 23 December

Follow the clues around the town to work out the secret word

Take your completed clue card to the ice rink and hand it in

Enjoy a free skate

While you’re in the market, there’s also the chance to make your own reindeer food and take an elfie selfie, all completely free!

About the ice rink

- No age or height restrictions

- Skate sizes available from size 0 to size 12

- Maximum of 20 skaters on the rink at one time

- Each session lasts 20 minutes, with 5 minutes either side to get changed

- Skating aids provided, including 6 polar bear skating aids 

The ice rink has already generated lots of interest, so to make sure everyone has the chance to take part there will be a maximum of one skate per person.
