Alfreton Train Station


Alfreton has its own railway station situated around a mile outside Alfreton town centre on Mansfield Road, the station is on the Erewash Valley line.

There are generally trains every hour running north to Chesterfield, Sheffield & Leeds and south to Langley Mill & Nottingham. A limited number of London services run via the Erewash Valley Line and stop at Alfreton. At other times Interchange with London services can be made at Nottingham and Chesterfield.
 

Alfreton Train Station has a ticket office and waiting room as well as an external ticket machine, there are two platforms with a bridge to cross over between platforms.

The ticket office is generally open 6am to 6pm with shorted hours on a Sunday.

There is a long stay car park with around 100 spaces and a small short stay car park, both are pay and display.

The station is served by several bus routes.
